Cathy Barbash is a specialist in public diplomacy, corporate social responsibility and cultural policy, and creative industry development in the People’s Republic of China. She has spent over 30 years managing and consulting to organizations including The U.S. Department of State, The Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China, The China Central Academy of Fine Arts, and The Philadelphia Orchestra.

In 2015, she was involved in the first-ever Chinese Spring Festival Fireworks in New York City, designed by the China Central Academy of Fine Arts and co-produced by Fireworks by Grucci.
