The London Haydn Quartet |

Meet and mingle with one of the world’s leading period instrument string quartets!
The London Haydn Quartet was born out of a passion for Haydn. Founded in 2000 the quartet has received invitations to many of the most important concert series in UK, USA, Canada, The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Japan. Their series of recordings of the complete Haydn quartets on the Hyperion label have been met with international critical acclaim. The quartet has given many recitals at venues such as London's Wigmore Hall, The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, New York's Carnegie Hall, Yamaha and Asahi Halls in Tokyo, the Sydney Opera House and at festivals including Cheltenham, Utrecht, Esterhaza, Bath Mozartfest, Lyon and Granada.

An IU-sponsored audition open to interested musicians for full-time employment with Celebrity Cruises!
Working for Celebrity affords musicians an opportunity to gain a vast wealth of professional playing experience while seeing the world AND earning a competitive salary. Celebrity Cruises is hiring throughout their 10-ship fleet in the following roles:
Showband: Drums, Keys, Electric Bass, Guitar, Bone, Reed doubles (alto, tenor, flute, clarinet), Trumpet. Showband musicians must be excellent sight-readers & section players
Jazz Quartet: Vocal + Rhythm Trio
Solo Guitarist/Vocals
Acoustic Duo: Guitarist and Vocals
Classical String Duo: Violin and Cello
Diverse rep and ability to span multiple genres required of all
*Ideal candidates are Dec '18 or May '19 graduates, or students taking extended leave, with availability to travel.

Join us for wide-ranging and interactive sessions which are sure to spark possibility and help you plan your own on-ramp to professional life. This event is open to all interested students, but specifically designed for HPI and students minoring in Early Music.

Join Assistant Conductor Vinay Parameswaran and a panel of musicians - Stephen Tavani (violin), Martha Baldwin (cello), and Ralph Curry (cello) - who represent different stages of tenure with the orchestra, for a discussion of their careers, performance experiences, and orchestral life.
