Join professional agent (and photographer) Cynthia Barry for a dynamic session on polishing your image for the professional world.

This workshop will cover: the different photography needs of actors, musicians, and dancers; determining image usage (web, social media, playbills, festival submissions etc.); wardrobe, hair and make-up; how to prepare for your session; poses; choosing the best images from your session, retouching and more.

Jeffrey Thomas is Artistic and Music Director of the American Bach Soloists, with whom he has directed and conducted recordings of more than 25 cantatas, the Mass in B Minor, St. Matthew Passion, Brandenburg Concertos, and works by Schütz, Pergolesi, Vivaldi, Haydn, and Beethoven.

Thomas has appeared with the Baltimore, Berkeley, Boston, Detroit, Houston, National, Rochester, Minnesota, and San Francisco symphony orchestras; with the Vienna Symphony and the New Japan Philharmonic and with many renowned Baroque orchestras worldwide. He has performed at numerous festivals including Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Spoleto, Ravinia, Boston Early Music Festival, Bethlehem Bach Festival, Göttingen Festival, Tage Alte Musik Festival in Regensburg, E. Nakamichi Baroque Festival in Los Angeles, and the Smithsonian Institution.

Recognized as one of Musical America’s 30 Innovators of the Year, Adrian Fung is an award-winning cellist, educator, and arts executive.

As the founding cellist of the critically acclaimed Afiara Quartet, Mr. Fung is a winner of the Concert Artist Guild International Competition, Young Canadian Musicians Award, 2nd prizes at the Munich ARD and Banff International String Quartet Competitions, and the Szekely Prize for Best Interpretation of Beethoven.

Mr. Fung recently served as Vice President for Innovation at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, where he led the TSO’s activities in artistic, social, and economic innovation.

First event in this semester’s Brownbag Lunch Series – bring your lunch and your questions for faculty guest Chris Albanese as he talks about his career, and lessons learned along the way, in this casual conversation.

Come get to know Chris, whose resume includes impressive credits in conducting, education, and scholarship. He enjoys fulfilling musical experiences in a variety of genres, including rock, pop, jazz, gospel, hip hop, and Hindustani classical music.
