Minor in Music Production

No more than 6 credits of courses used for degree requirements may be counted toward the minor in music production
Prerequisites: choose one set of music theory courses:
- Z111 Introduction to Music Theory (3 cr.) and Z211 Music Theory II (3 cr.) or
- T109 Rudiments of Music (3 cr.)/Music Fundamentals Online and T151 Music Theory and Literature (3 cr.)
Required Courses 12 credits:
- 3 credit hours selected from A101 Introduction to Audio Tech (audio majors) or A100 Foundations of Audio Tech (all other majors)
- A410 Individual Music Production Projects (3 cr.)
- K340 Songwriting for Music Production (3 cr.)
- K361/Z361 Introduction to MIDI and Computer Music (3 cr.)
Electives: 6 credits chosen from the following courses:
- A330 Modern Recording Studio Techniques (3 cr.)
- A410 Individual Music Production Projects (3 cr.) (a total of 6 credits of A410 may be used towards the minor)
