All recitals, regardless of location must be scheduled within the Scheduling Office via the Recital Scheduling & Program Creation Form (portal). Vocalists seeking recital credit for an opera role should contact the Graduate Office.
Students should use the Recital Scheduling Portal to schedule degree recitals and student/non-degree recitals. The Recital Scheduling Portal should not be used to schedule other types of event (e.g., University Student Organization concert/event, faculty recitals, etc.).
The Recital Scheduling Portal is easily accessible from an on-campus computer. If using a non-campus computer, you must first connect to the IU Virtual Private Network (IU VPN). Information about how to connect to the IU VPN can be found here. Firefox is the recommend web browser to access the Recital Scheduling Portal. The portal is not compatible with mobile or tablet devices.
Within the Recital Scheduling Portal, you will:
- select available recital date and times in the performance halls (Auer Hall, Ford-Crawford Hall, Recital Hall); or write in an alternate location that you have independently scheduled,
- create your recital program via the Program Creation Form, and
- electronically submit your recital request (date, time, location) and program details to your instructor / committee for approval.
As each of the steps mentioned above are completed, you will receive confirmation emails of step completion and reminder emails for required next steps.
Recital scheduling open/close dates and performance deadlines can be found here.
