New Student Orientation
The Undergraduate Program Office coordinates the New Student Orientation (NSO) schedule for undergraduate music students in partnership with the Office of First-Year Experience (FYE). NSO is a 2-day program during the summer where incoming students will have specific music events along with the standard IU programs, meet with a music advisor, and register for their first semester of classes. Students can schedule their NSO experience through FYE.
Prepare for your NSO advising appointment by completing your Canvas modules and placement exams.
For students beginning in the spring semester, there is a 2-day orientation program the week prior to the start of classes (typically the first week of January).
