Elite Instrument Collection

The string department is pleased to offer the loan of instruments to deserving students through the Elite Instrument Collection. These are high quality instruments meant for string performance majors who don’t have access to a professional level instrument. Generally your private teacher will let you know if they think you could benefit from the use of one of these instruments. After discussing this with them, please send a one page statement stating how the use of one of these instruments would be beneficial to your growth as a musician. We would also like you to include what instrument you have brought to IU and why it is hindering your development as a musician. Please send these materials to sganatra@iu.edu by September 10.
