Competitions

Each year, the Piano Department typically holds three (3) concerto competitions for eligible piano students.

Eligibility

Eligible piano students are considered to be those who are currently enrolled in a course at the Jacobs School of Music - please note that you are not required to be enrolled in lessons at the time of the competition; however, you MUST be enrolled in a course for the semester in which the competition is taking place.

Competition Sign-Up

To participate in these competitions, piano students are responsible for signing up by the deadlines posted below by emailing pianodep@indiana.edu. Piano students should consult their primary studio teacher about readiness prior to signing up for any of the competitions and no student should sign up for a competition without the knowledge of their primary studio teacher.
