Dates and Deadlines

• Scheduling Open is the first day recital requests are accepted for that recital classification type. (Recital Scheduling opens at 8:00am Eastern.)
• Scheduling Close is the last day recital requests are accepted for that recital classification type.
• Performance Deadline is the last day for a recital classification to occur, regardless of location.
• All recital requests must be fully approved by instructor/committee and the Scheduling Office no later than 3 weeks prior to the recital date.
• In general, performance DM and AD recitals should not be held on Saturdays and Sundays.

Summer 2025 Recital Scheduling

Summer 2025 recital dates: June 9 - July 18, excluding June 19 (Juneteenth Holiday) and July 4 (Independence Day Holiday).

• Note to Undergraduate Students: If you are planning to give a degree recital this summer, you must be enrolled in summer lessons. Please contact the Music Undergraduate Office (musug@iu.edu) with any questions about this.

Fall 2025 Recital Scheduling

Fall 2025 recital dates: September 2 - December 13, excluding Labor Day (Sept 1), fall break (Oct 10-12), and Thanksgiving break (Nov 22-30).

 To schedule a degree, minor field, or student/non-degree recital, proceed here.

*Minor Field (DM/DME/PhD) recital classification should be used by DM, DME, or PhD students who wish to schedule a recital in fulfillment of a Minor Field.

Spring 2026 recital dates: January 12 - May 2, excluding Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan 19) and spring break (Mar 14-22).
