For recital in locations other than JSoM performance halls (anywhere other than Auer Hall, Ford-Crawford Hall, or Recital Hall), students are responsible for verifying the date/time/location availability and confirming with the location. For scheduling in any JSoM classroom/rehearsal room, email the Scheduling Office at email@example.com For locations outside of JSoM, plese work with the venue to reserve the space, and then follow the instructions below.
Students are responsible for any location fees when reserving non-JSoM locations. Recital recording is not available for non-JSoM locations. For DM/AD recitals occurring in a non-JSoM location, the student recitalist is responsible for recording the recital and delivering the recording to the Music Library. More information about DM /AD recital recordings can be found here.
All recitals, regardless of location, must be scheduled within the Scheduling Office via the Recital Scheduling & Program Creation Form (portal).
After you have reserved the space, please go to the Recital Scheduling portal. Here, you will:

- write in the recital date, time, and location that you have independently scheduled,
- create your recital program via the Program Creation Form, and
- electronically submit your recital request (date, time, location) and program details to your instructor / committee for approval.
All recital requests (date, time, location, and program) must be fully approved by your instructor/committee and the Scheduling Office by a minimum of three (3) weeks in advance of your recital date, regardless of the location.
All recitals, regardless of location, must adhere to the recital scheduling dates and deadlines. Recital scheduling open/close dates and performance deadlines can be found here.
