Is this a Jacobs School event? A Jacobs School event is any event that involves Jacobs School ensembles, involves Jacobs School students in the capacity of their JSoM enrollment (i.e. performance for a JSoM class or ensemble), and/or is sponsored by a Jacobs School department or center.
If this is a Jacobs School event, please submit the Faculty Event Request Form to let us know about it, by four weeks prior to the event. This will go through the same PCC review process as all JSoM events. This is not to create an unnecessary hurdle or barrier, but rather to ensure that all offices who might need to know about it (Communications, Program Office, JSoM administration, etc) do know about it. In the words of a former PCC Chair, this is "how the Jacobs School finds out what the Jacobs School is doing."
If this is not a Jacobs School event, then there is no need to let us know about it. Examples of non-JSoM events are when a JSoM faculty member gives a recital off-campus, JSoM students perform off-campus in an entirely non-curricular setting, etc.
For questions about off-campus student recitals, please see Student Recital Scheduling.
