No more than 6 credits of courses used for degree requirements may be counted toward the minor in music scoring for visual media
Admission requirements: For students other than composition majors:
- MUS-K 100/MUS-I 301 Composition Elective/Secondary and Masterclass (3 cr.)
- MUS-K 361 Introduction to MIDI and Computer Music (3 cr.) or MUS-A 100 Foundations of Audio Technology (3 cr.)
Required Courses: 10-15 credits chosen from the following courses:
- one media course chosen from the following:
- MSCH C 228 Multi-Camera TV Studio Production I (3 cr.)
- MSCH-C 229 Introduction to Single-Camera Production (3 cr.)
- MSCH-C 250 Story Lab 1 (3 cr.)
- MSCH-G 320 Game Art & Sound (3 cr. )
- MSCH-P 335 Production as Criticism (3 cr.)
- MSCH-P 360 Motion Picture Production (4 cr.)
- minimum two semesters of MUS-K 455 Topics in Music Scoring for Visual Media (6-9 cr.)
- MUS-K 302 Independent Project in Scoring for Visual Media (1-3 cr., may be repeated)
