University Graduate School Awards and Grants - Jacobs School of Music deadlines and procedures
The University Graduate School has multiple awards and grants that students can apply for during their time as a graduate student. If you are interested in any of those awards or grants, please note the following JSoM deadlines and procedures. (Details on the specific awards and application materials can be found here).
Educational Opportunity Fellowship: You apply for this fellowship through the Music Financial Aid office. The deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Financial Aid office (in JS100) is normally in early January.
Grant-in-Aid of Doctoral Research (fall): The fall deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this grant is normally in September.
Grant-in-Aid of Doctoral Research (spring): The spring deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this grant is normally in February.
The Irving and Shirley Brand Graduate Fellowship: The deadline to submit all application materials to the Music Graduate Office for this fellowship is normally in February.
John H. Edwards Fellowship: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by the Jacobs School of Music. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you in mid-January, and you must submit your completed application to the Music Graduate Office (normally in February).
The Wells Graduate Fellowship: In order to apply for this award, you must be nominated by the Jacobs School of Music. If you are nominated, the Music Graduate Office will notify you in late October, and you must submit your completed application to the Music Graduate Office (normally in November).
