Program Completion Application
In order to complete your program and graduate, students must complete a Program Completion Application with the Music Graduate Office prior to, or at the beginning of, the intended last semester of enrollment. Please confirm that any "R" or "I" grades you may have on your record have been completed. If a recital was performed late in the semester during which you intend to complete your program, please confirm that our office has received the recital grade.
You can submit your Program Completion Application online by using this form (unless you are in an MA or PhD program).
MA candidates must complete the "Master's Application for Advanced Degree." It can be found by searching for the eDoc at www.one.iu.edu. For University Graduate School deadlines please contact that office at 812-855-9343.
PhD candidates must complete a "PhD Commencement Participation Application" if they plan to attend the commencement ceremony. To find the form, search for the eDoc at www.one.iu.edu. For University Graduate School deadlines please contact that office at 812-855-9343. If a PhD candidate does not plan to attend the commencement ceremony, then no application for graduation is necessary.
Students in a Certificate program must complete this form and submit it online or fill out the paper version in person in the Music Graduate Office (JS120). Certificate program students will not attend commencement, but still need to submit the Program Completion Application.
The Program Completion Application is required for all students (other than PhD candidates), regardless of whether you choose to attend the commencement ceremony. There is no fee to submit the form. By submitting the Program Completion Application, you will also receive information about the commmencement ceremony, but you need to submit the form even if you do not intend to attend the ceremony. Please note that Certificate program students will not be able to attend commencement or have their names appear in the Commencement Bulletin.
To have your name appear in the Commencement Bulletin you must submit your application by the deadlines listed below. Failure to submit your application by the stated deadline will prevent your name from being listed in the Bulletin.
*The names of Summer graduates will appear in the Commencement Bulletin for Spring if the application is submitted by the Spring application deadline. Summer graduates are invited to attend the Spring ceremony. There is no commencement ceremony in Summer.
