New Student Orientation Pre-Registration for Spring 2024
Please take a moment to pre-register for spring semester 2024 New Student Orientation. This form is for students who have already been admitted to a new graduate or diploma program for spring semester 2024.
Please fill out the information requested on the survey link below. This information will be sent to the Music Graduate Office.
Orientation videos will be available on December 11. Individual orientation advising appointments for all students (including diploma and visiting) will be online on January 3 and 4.
The graduate entrance exams in music history, written music theory, aural music theory, and sight singing for master's and doctoral students will be online on January 2, 3, and 4. The graduate entrance exams are required for all master's and doctoral students.
Diction exams (for voice, historical performance voice, choral conducting, and collaborative piano majors) will take place online on January 4.
Here's the detailed schedule. All orientation activities will be held online. All new students must arrive in Bloomington by the end of the first week of classes at the latest (Friday, January 12). If you cannot arrive by that date you will need to defer the start of your program to a future semester.
