Zachary Novak was pursuing his Master of Music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, with a major in Choral Conducting and a minor in Voice, where he studied with Brian Horne.
Novak graduated Summa Cum Laude from Anderson University in 2004, with Honors in Music. In 2003, Novak received Anderson University music department's Voice Performance Award and won the senior men category and State National Association of Teachers of Singing awards. He was employed by the department in 2004 as a staff accompanist and as the Associate Music Director of the Anderson University spring opera.
Among other venues, he performed with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra, Lafayette Bach Chorale, and the Carmel (CA) Bach Festival. In Bloomington, Novak served as the Wesley Choir Director, Children’s Choir Director, and Worship Coordinator at First United Methodist Church in Bloomington.
